Regular HVAC Maintenance Vital for Efficiency — Both Human and Mechanical
in HVAC
We usually avoid referring to material published at EzineArticles since it’s a service that is mainly meant to let authors get exposure to wide audiences. But we stumbled across a couple of articles there that we’d like to bring to your attention.
First, “Air Conditioning Maintenance is Vital for Efficiency.” The author, Brian Figlioli (writing for Atlanta-based HVAC contractor Bardi Heating and Air), points out something that we think can never be said too often: “Savvy managers know that HVAC maintenance is much less expensive than what it could cost when the system runs down and ultimately fails.” He then offers a series of tips about ways to familiarize yourself with your building’s system so that you’ll know exactly what it needs in the way of maintenance.
Figlioli also wrote “Heating and Air Conditioning Can Affect Our Work,” in which he offers this advice:
Making certain to have a qualified air conditioning repair specialist to keep these systems in good shape is important not only for human comfort, but to produce that comfort in the most cost and energy efficient way possible. . . . While businesses trying to save money may be tempted to cut back on expenses by letting their systems decline, this it ultimately inadvisable, as it is far more likely to cost in the long run than to save. A heating and air conditioning system treated well and kept functional will help to maintain both employees and machinery — from elevators to fax machines — in good working order. Just like an air and heating system, a successful business consists of a range of parts, all of which need the right temperatures to work to their maximum potential and keep the business strong.
To which we reply, “Exactly.” Well said.
